Ringtone & Msg alert tone help needed

Is there a way of setting a seperate ringtone and msg tone for each person in contact list?

Edit a Contact and scroll to the bottom. You can set an individual ringtone and/or vibration pattern there. Not sure about notifications.

not sure about stock sms/mms app but i always use go sms and theres handsent that allow lots of customization. ringtones, led colors, notification icons etc.
