Ringtone Changes Indiscriminately

I have a Droid Razr Maxx with Android 2.3.6. The ringtone changes all by itself and it is very annoying. I change it back but eventually it changes to some random tone or music on my system. Is there a fix for this?

Does it change after connecting to a computer (I have such a problem) or just anytime?

I am not sure. I will pay closer attention to when this happens. Thank you for the possible tip off.
