Right side of screen doesn't work

so for about the last week or so my touch screen has been funky and "ghosting" on me and now it has finally happened that the right side wont even unlock unless im in landscape mode(in which i cant use the notification bar)

any suggestions? is it a problem with 2.2? do i go to the verizon store for the warranty or do i cash in on my insurance?

If you got it less than a year ago from VZW, go for the warranty.
