Returned Razr today for a HTC Rezound

So...purchased the Razr on Fri and I just couldn't get decent battery life. I got 6-8 hours of what I consider moderate use. (1-1/2 hrs talk, 15-20 texts, 5-8 websites. Screen at 0%, wifi, bluetooth off) Since I could not get an extended battery or spare since it's non-removeable, I am not around a charger enough to keep that phone. So I went with the Rezound, so far so good, just programing it now. Extended battery was $60, plus 50% off for verizons special on 4G batteries, and I got 25% off that for our company discount!

Hope you guys have better luck with the Razr then I did.

I'm around a charger most of the time. I bought a second battery for my Thunderbolt, I only used it once or twice, and the reason I bought it was for going on vacation. I really didn't have to use it. Matter of fact, I don't even know where the second battery is at, lol. The Razr works for me, as it works for you to have a back up battery with the Rezound. Have fun with the Rezound, was gonna go check it out, but.... I love my Razr to much, this one's a keeper for me ;)

Sorry your experience sucked. That's no fun using a phone that just wont last for regular use. That's one of the reasons i'm doing these battery experiments; to give potential buyers an objective measurement of what to expect.

I'm thinking about the same thing. I don't mind the integrated battery, but after extended use a few things irk me about the RAZR. Mainly the wide sides. I thought this wouldn't bother me, but for some reason it just causes issues w/ natural typing. I'm always hitting the key just a TINY bit off and spellcheck comes w/ some funky stuff. The battery life is okay, but not astounding. I expect the Rezound to be similar, but at least I have options.

The main thing is the bootloader. I didn't think the locked boot would bother me, but it sort of reminds me of all the things I could be missing since you tend to find a lot more development on other phones since it's easy to drop them on via things like Clockwork.

We'll see, but I have a feeling I'm going the same route. I'm going to give it until Friday to determine for sure, and maybe see if the Galaxy Nexus finally gets a set date and go from there.

Yeah I got my Razr at Costco so I have 90 days to try it out lol. If the Rezound is a lot better I might go with that. However I didn't want to get a smart phone to begin with because of size, the only reason I got a Razr was because the thinness of it is really attractive. I like that it doesn't feel like it's in my pocket just about. The Rezound looks a big chunky and the Nexus has just too big a screen for my liking. Ultimately I still want to use this as a phone and not just a media device.

So far it's great. I agree pico1, this phone is thicker, and heaver, especially with the extended battery. I love the fact that with Battery Info widget, battery goes by percentage, not by 10! So far today, I unplugged it at 630, did 20 mins of phone conversation, downloaded 2 apps, and checked a few e-mails. I'm at 88% yet, by this time yesterday with the Razr I was at 70% or a little less.

Woukd love to se a photo if thst fattie, and one next to razr to show width.

also, is Rezound scren really much nicer or not noticeable?

e

Haha, you take that photo with a Quaker pinhole camera?

How is the screen compared to the razr? noticeably better?
Far better. Its 720p in a 4.3" screen which mean theres a 342PPI. You can't see pixels and its not pentile.

Wow thats thick...no offense but I am all set with that. Razr's screen, build quility and performance is just fine for this guy.
