Restoring Phone Contacts... now i have none.

I did a fresh flash of liberty 0.9 then went to sync my contacts back via gmail. So i was letting that do what it does and set up my phone to my liking. After a few minutes i got something about to many contacts, like 2500 of them. So i told it to delete them. Now my phone has no contacts and it deleted all of them out of my Gmail. and i only had about 150 contacts anyways.

Then i tried to restore them from mybackup pro. Now my contacts are back, but i get 4 of each contact. I delete them and try again, then get 5 of each contact.

Can anyone enlighten me on this issue?
