Required Unlock Pattern will not uncheck

I made the mistake of "checking" the Require Pattern under Security Settings. I thought it was a cool Security feature. Only problem is that now I want to remove this security measure....and the option will NOT un-check. Can anyone help me get this fixed. Very annoying to find features that clearly are not working properly. THANKS!

Did you try sleeping your phone, putting in the lock pattern, then trying again?

Interesting....I booted down the phone to OFF. Upon turning back on, the Security Pattern is no longer required at all. *It must be a security feature that has to be re-applied each time the phone is rebooted.(Maybe?)

There is a way to reset it without rebooting, I know I locked myself out once!
