Require pattern "greyed out"

I am trying to turn off the "Require pattern" option on my Droid.

In the Location and security settings screen... The "Require pattern" is greyed out... There is a green check mark, but I cannot uncheck it.

Any suggestions?

OK, I resolved my own problem. I created a pattern... Then after, I was able to uncheck the "requrie pattern" option.
