replacing glass

Hi all, I have been a lurker for a while and have used your info to fix many a problem and for that I thank you. I now am a registered user and have a question that I haven't seen on the forum and was hoping to get a little help. I have a moto x2 and recently broke the glass screen. I also have a moto x which I dropped in the ocean (I know, I know) so the question is can I replace the x2 glass with the x glass? I have already taken the x apart and all seems the same but not sure how the new processor will react to the old glass touch screen. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
