Removing DroidMod and moving to 2.2

I updated to Droidmod some time a go and i would like to now go to 2.2 but i can not .. droid mod setup will not let me install anything .. Please Help I would like to get to 2.2

I cant even find Droidmod 's web site ?

You will have to find another ROM look around and read what they offer then once you decide download it, put it on root of sdcard, rename it update.zip(if using a pc just rename it update) then boot into recovery(power off, hold x and power on) MAKE A BACKUP, then wipe data and cache , goto install, click allow install(option 2) then install update(deprecated) reboot enjoy.

I was trying to do that.. i downloaded:

signed-voles-FRG01B-from-ESE81.e48e48ff.zip

and renamed it to update.zip and coped it to the root ..

Rebooted with X+Power and will not let it install ... Looks like there is something there that is stopping it .. I think it's droidmod .. If i just want to get to a good rom or stock rom what would you do?
