Remove the plastic or no?

It's meant to be taken off. It's put there before the phone is assembled, that way they can test the slider mechanism without leaving scuff marks on the rear of the screen assembly. My only concern about leaving it on would be if it were to happen to peel off in such a way that it got wadded up and jammed the slider.

Took mine off and the slider feels perfect. Not loose at all...in fact, I'd still prefer it to loosen up a bit more, but I figure it will over time.
