Reception problem

My wife has a fascinate and upon going to settings about phone Battery use cell standby it shows time without signal and today with 6 hours its at 63% of the time without signal its a Giant Pain in the ASS and verizon keeps giving me a pig and a poke here try this here try this so its been a month now with a device thats a piece of **** and doesnt work so my question is im not rooted atm but want to know if there is a rom , kernel or radio I can flash to fix this problem and no im not in the boonies im in the middle of columbus ohio just really feed up with verizon AND SAMSUNGS Crap any help Greatly appreciated and how many more people have this wrong with thier fascinate:icon_evil::icon_evil::icon_evil::icon_evil::icon_evil:

I am having the same problem. Phone calls and text sometimes do not come thru. Let me know when you find a fix. Very frustrating!
