Receiving multiple texts

Since the latest OS update on my Droid 2 I have randomly been receiving repeat txt messages from people. It's happening from stuff like notifications from FB of being poked to my husband who has the same phone as me to people on other phone networks. Sometimes I'll get 3 msgs at once and then 6 hrs later receive the message once again! I'm trying to avoid a total factory reset of my phone! Is anyone else having or had this problem? PS. I'm not real tech savy so I don't use any 3rd party messaging programs it's all vanilla K

yes, I am. And it just now started on with my emails...I'm just now searching for the solution. So, if you know it, please post it. Thanks-
