Technically speaking, does powering the phone off, then powering it back on, actually perform a reboot, or is there more to it than that? Also, is pulling the battery for a few minutes a more "complete" way to do it? What are the advantages of doing a battery pull over just powering off/on? Stock non-rooted Droid BTW.

Technically speaking off/on is a reboot. Pulling the battery out for at least 30 seconds allows the capacitors to discharge, that would be a proper battery pull. You don't need to do battery pulls unless you cannot shut down your Droid. That very rarely happens.

Thanks hook. Follow up question if I may: Are there any issues/problems with not powereing the phone off for weeks, or even months at a time? Does it need a reboot every now and then just to keep its sanity?
