Reappearing Shortcut

Hello,

While installing "Boxing Bag" by Royal Apps, I noticed a message that said "creating shortcut for slots". I'm not really into programs that decide to install stuff just because they can, so I uninstalled Boxing Bag immediately.

The problem is, this "Slots" shortcut keeps reappearing on my homepage and every time it has a different icon. This last time, the icon was "Slotomania" which I have heard of, but isn't installed on my phone.

A little worried an a lot of annoyed -- any suggestions?

BTW - I don't know what the icon does; I have not clicked it.

Sounds as though you have contracted a virus, probably through this boxing bag app. FDR is about the only way to go. I would reset before anything else can go screwy. When in doubt, FDR is your friend. (FDR is Factory Data Reset, if you don't know)

I would download Air Push Detector, that APP finds pop ups created by other APPS and can remove them.

Have you gone through your list of programs to make sure there isn't anything else suspicious still on your phone after the uninstall of Boxing Bag?

Also I would be a tad more cautious when installing APPS, if you read the reviews a number of people mention that shortcut and ads and to not install.

There are ZERO known viruses native to Android OS. Use the app called "Air Push detector" as Sydman suggested an you will be fine

FDR is a last resort and not needed with such a small issue.

By virus, I actually meant a malicious app. My mom has installed a couple of apps that have required an FDR to get rid of the malicious side effects.
Now, her phone is not/was not rooted at the time...
