last night i decided to have a look in the app market to see what games are available... I picked up my droid, which hadn't had much use yesterday, the battery was 60%, about where it normally is that time of night.. I usually keep wifi off unless I am at home, so before I started browsing the market, i turned it on... technically...
about 3 minutes later I got an alert that I only had 5% battery and needed to plug it in!! WHAT?! 60% to 5% in 3 minutes? well, I looked at the status bar it was still using 3G, somehow it didn't pick up the wifi (and my router was only 10 feet from me), so I am GUESSING that when I turned WiFi on (using the built in power management widget) it got stuck in a loop trying to connect and flew through my battery power... good thing I didn't need to go anywhere though, because I haven't gotten a car charger yet and it would have died shortly thereafter if I didn't plug it in...
