Anyone have any success installing another ROM over the R2D2 stock build? If so, what ROMS?

Oh, you are in luck.

I have just finished a guide about it.

My girlfriend's R2-Droid 2 is has been running Fission just fine for about 3 days. (No random reboots either)

Actually, you know what. Since you have a stock R2-D2 phone, could you check for me, whether the Need For Speed: Shift app is a full version or just the demo?

demo.. was $4.99, then they upgraded the data I think, then it was a .99 app during xmess. not sure of price now. you get to demo 1 race though.

what if I just want to open up the phone to put any Droid 2 ROM I want on it? How do I do that?

That's what my guide is about. When it says "install any 2.3.0 rom, I used fission" just go find whatever droid 2 rom install guide you want and install it. Just make sure it's not a 2.2.x based rom.
