Reading 0% battery, no signal, and sd card not found. PLEASE HELP

So the saga continues... I have the original droid which I updated to 2.2 and then tried to root using rsdlite. Got to bootloader screen, flashed sprecovery, now phone shows 0% battery, connect to charger when already connected, Shows no sd card when it is inserted, and of course no signal. Eventually battery just died from trying to turn off and restart all the time. I bought a p323 battery charger to charge the battery externally because it would no longer charge in the phone. Tried to re flash sprecovery with fully charged battery and the same thing happens. What do i need to do?? I miss my phone

Did you use SPR to load ESE81? If I'm not mistaken, ESE81 loads a 2.1 kernel. I believe that if you install a 2.2 kernel you'll see immediate improvements.

Which ROM are you using?

I am just using the stock motorola droid rom. I was under the impression that i needed to flash spr before i proceded in the rooting process. Where can i get a 2.2 kernel? Do I use rsdlite to install the kernel?

Sorry to ask so many questions... I chose a kernel chevy no1 1.0ghz low v7. I cannot flash it from rsd lite because it is a zip file. How can I put it on my phone

I tried to reinstall update.zip on spr and got this message when verifying current system "assert failed: apply_patch_check ("MTD:boot:2504704:0b5ee101da41148aa026a32848f609fa4b05403e:2875392:d104d2ec84a2d0660e786c0fb8174bfacb4079d6")

OK, you can install that by renaming it to update.zip, putting it into the root of you SD card, then using SPR to flash it.

Don't worry, you haven't bricked your phone. From your description I can assure you that everything will eventually be OK. It sounds to me that you used the procedure for rooting a phone with Android 2.1 on a phone with 2.2 installed. You aren't the first one, you won't be the last...

But it appears to me that you're in just a bit over your head. Maybe you should go and read up some more on rooting before you go too much further.

And if you need more help the Rescue Squad is here for you.

Would I be right if I guessed that you installed SPRecovery_ESE81.sbf?

i am having the same problem and that is the version of SPRcovery i used
If you're running 2.2 and you use the "ESE81" SBF (which is 2.1) you will get this exact issue.

Basically you put a 2.1 boot partition on a 2.2 phone, so you just need to flash the 2.2 boot image back on. Probably the easiest way to do this with readily available files would be to go find a 2.2 custom kernel you like (there's one in my sig) and put that on and you should be all set.

I can't mount my phone. When I look on my computer it says its connected but on my phone side, it says connect to charger. It doesn't realize that it's plugged in. How can I put something on the root of my sd card if its reading that there is no sd card.
