RAZR M says "Duplicate Email Account" but there is only one account

I just bought a Motorolla Droid Razr M for my son. I set up his email account with the default email client. The very next day, he has a notification that says "Duplicate email account," and provides a button to remove it. I have verified that I only have one account set up on that phone, and when it deletes the account, there is then no accounts. I re-added it and the problem came back.

Has anyone seen this? Is there a way to get rid of the notification?

Problem solved. He got prompted to install the latest Android update, and after that, the problem want away.
