Random reboots relatively common?

Yes, just like most Android phones. The OS itself is flawed and has been for over a year and nobody has taken the time to fix it yet.

That's a bit of a surprise to me seeing as how I never had random reboots from my original Droid. Girlfriend has the Samsung Epic 4G with no random reboots either.

Have you been reading the forums?

It isn't like every phone reboots. But in every forum you will see several threads about it over time. It's a very common issue.
