STF, seems I have started to encounter the same problem you are talking about.

I have had my Droid X2 for about a year now. About a week ago it started acting up, taking up to 30-45 seconds to open the screen from sliding the lock. Then apps freeze. Last night I had a text take 5 minutes to send. Contacts constantly crash. Took the phone to the Verizon store today and the sales person took out the battery, turned it on and, told me if was fixed....

I have reset my X2 three times, once from privacy and reset, two others from power, volume down with a complete wipe and reformat. The phone has never been rooted, minimal apps installed, about 1/2 built in memory left, 3/4 sd card remaining. Updated to 2.3.5. Battery used to last me two days on a charge with how I use my phone. Now maybe 7 hours tops... Indicates recharged in about an hour.. So clearly there does seem to be a battery issue. I have ordered two replacements, oem's.

Could a bad battery be causing these problems?
