In order to get IMAP email working for some accounts, I have to choose "none" for the security setting. I don't know much about this. Is this safe to do? Or am I better off using POP?

Thank you

Why do you think POP is safer? If SSL isn't used in either case there's no security benefit to POP.

I have no idea. I don't know much about it. I figured if choices include SSL or TSL and I can't get this account to work using IMAP unless I choose no security then maybe I should not set up this account on my phone. Maybe I should just check it from home. Hence the question about the risk of not using security.

Thanks
