A few weeks ago Justin Case released a root method for the previously unrootable Verizon Moto X. The method, "PwnMyMoto", uses three separate exploits to get the job done. T-mobile just released an update that fixes lots of the bugs in the Moto X camera and makes the camera usable. Picture quality is much improved with the new update. As expected at least one of the vulnerabilities used to root the Moto X has been patched. This has been verified by Justin Case. As a rule of thumb if you want root privileges on your device you should not accept ota updates.

If the device is already rooted can you not just use Voodoo Root Keeper after an OTA update?
