Problem with text message notifications

On my OG droid, when I would get text messages the green light would blink and stay blinking until I check the message. The D2G doesnt do this, is there a way to make it do this. Also sometimes when I get texts, I get no notification of it whatsoever.

Download Handcent SMS. It'll do what you want.

I used to have this problem. Handcent is way better than the stock messaging app and its free. Plus you can customize the color of the LED.
