The Honor 8 was hailed as the best mid range device of 2016 by many media outlets. The premium design was shocking at the low price point. It shied away from the trending massive screens to bring a phone that could truly be handled with one hand. The phone featured a best in class fingerprint scanner that had swipe features built in and the dual lens camera was second to none in the price range.
Huawei looks to improve on this in the 2017 with the Honor 9 which is set to release on June 12 in China and will receive the global announcement on June 21. According to sources it looks like we may be getting a few different variants of the device with different price points. The 4GB RAM variant will include 64GB of on board storage and will cost just $338. The 6GB variant will include 64GB of on board storage as well and cost $382. The most expensive option available will include 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage and will only set you back $441. The phone will also feature a premium design just like last years device, as well as a dual lens camera setup. This looks like it will be one of the best midrangers for 2017 for sure!
