Good afternoon and Labor Day. I'm fairly new to both Android and my Moto Droid. Linux is my OS of choice, however, and Simply Mepis 8.5 is what's on my desktop now; the lappy has SM 8.0.

My phone far outpaces my BB Tour, even though I'd still be on the Tour had it not been for the trackball issue; Verizon had to issue me about 5 phones before they offered me the upgrade to the Moto Droid. Not sad at all now.

I'm currently running FY 1.6 with the carlz28 Executive Series theme. This is a nice setup for me; battery life is pretty good and everything works very well.

This ROM/theme thing is pretty interesting and akin to customizing my Linux boxes.

Welcome to the world of Android and glad you found us at DF. Lots of us were one time Blackberry users. My daughter and son in law have the Tour and my daughter had the trackball issue, but that's it thankfully for them. They're going to be part of the Android community some day I'm sure.
