Preparing to switch ROM

I would like to go from stock to cm7 in the near future but one thing that I am struggling to figure out is if their is a way to get my phone contacts onto my google account. To my understanding Motoblur has created most of my contacts from facebook etc. and only a hand full of my contacts are actually on my google account. (the one's who aren't from facebook) So is there a way to export them all so that I would have them on cm7?

Go into your contacts and open your settings. Export your contacts to your SD card. When you switch ROMS, import from SD card.

You can also get a contacts backup application from the Market (there are free apps for that), export to a CSV file, and import it into Google Contacts (https://www.google.com/contacts).

Thanks, can't believe I missed that haha. My other question is can I back up with a seperate sd card than the one I usually use? I imagine you can but I like to make sure.
