I was a little stunned to see a premium membership option emailed to everyone.

I'm curious to see exactly how many people are interested. I can't decide if I'm going to do it or not, so figured I'd put out a poll and see what the consensus is. I'm a sucker for peer pressure.

Guys, I just wanted to add. Some sites offer a "Premium Area" of the site, and we do not. The reason why is we want this program to be completely voluntary. We don't want any member to miss out on any information, we don't want you to have to pay to feel like your getting the full information the site has to offer. That's the reason we don't have a 'secret' or 'premium' section set up here.

Hope this helps, the content of the site should not change at all.

We offer some perks and benefits but you will lose nothing if you don't choose to participate. It's entirely voluntary and up to you, as you've seen no member benefits were removed at all, we just added a small upgrade and sticker package if you choose to use it.

As soon as I saw it I went Premium! Droid Forums has been such a useful tool in learning my Droid! I think everyone should show there support

simple for me i use the site.. i like the site... i pay for things i like i did not hesitate logged into paypal and boom sent them some money.. now if they would make a widget for home screen i pay for that too.. just think of it like a magazine subscription instead of a new one every month you get a new one every minute.. well worth the 18 bucks or whatever it was

There are so many members here we are missing out on a lot of money.... more money = a good thing.

sites start with good intentions......... when it turns into a money maker they all go south.... don't be greedy and keep the forum free for all areas and make money from your ads here which are already overwhelming.

just being honest..... and for what its worth I have many forums myself. you will find no google ads anywhere on them either, they are for the members and are self supporting with a few sponsors.
