Pre-Poll: Android Smartphone of the Year 2015 Speculation

It's easy to have a poll for a smartphone at the end of the year when we have seen all the devices already. Obviously that is also more logical. Still, that doesn't automatically mean it's more fun. Sometimes it's worth taking the time to speculate on the future, and that's what we want to do today.

Put on your prognostication hats folks, we want you to let us know which Android smartphone will be the best smartphone of the year! You can base your criteria on anything you wish, from leaked aesthetics, to supposed internal specs.

We chose a bunch of smartphones for this poll, but of course we included an "Other" category for any of the folks who really want to stretch their sooth-saying abilities. If you choose "Other" be sure to sound off in the forums and let us know what your specific choice was. Enjoy!

Going to go with the HTC One M9, the M8 was pretty darn good and pleased with aside from the glacial silver part. Samsung Edge may be pretty good, though I don't see it taking off too well, and if the next Droid could come out sooner I'd put money on that.

M9, with a little refinement of specs and a far better camera over the M8, its looking to be a fantastic year for HTC. Next year will probably be a challenge year for them.

I went for the Moto Droid. Despite my last 3 devices being made by Samsung, Moto has been catching my eye again lately. I feel like the Moto X will be a nice device, but don't think they'll mess with the formula too much there, whereas it seems like the Droid line is being refreshed each time now that they're not pushing out the Droid 7 and RAZR MAXX 3 (just examples).

Creating an entirely new "line" of Droid device bumps the letdown of a device that's better than the previous in its line, but not spectacular when compared to the wind.

I wouldn't be so sure. The Note 4 didn't go up in screen size from the 3.

Although, they're pushing the screen size of the S line up and up, so maybe the next Note will get a bump too. 6" tops though, if you ask me.
