Pre-Installed Apps

Hello.

First let me start off with I DID search through this website and I apologize if this is a duplicate, but I can't seem to find my answer. All the answers I find are for rooted phones. I am NOT rooted.

So.. here I go..

I would like to remove the pre-installed apps such as Amazon Kindle, Blockbuster (where I love Blockbuster doesn't exist any more :P ), FACEBOOK (ARGHH), Foot Prints, Friend Stream, & Other Verizon pre-installed apps. The only thing that I can do is uninstall the last update.

I don’t understand rooted phones and I don’t want to mess my phone up because I LOVE THE REZOUND! It is by far the best phone I have ever had!! I just want to get rid of these annoying apps, which I don’t use.

Any advice?

Thank you so much in advance!!!

You have a few avenues available to you.

1) Unlock and Root your phone. You can then remove any app.

2) Unlock and install a custom ROM. Custom ROMs seldom have bloatware(and can always be removed with root access)

3) Install ICS from a leaked RUU(Does not require root). ICS has the native ability to disable apps(bloatware).

4) Wait for the OTA and see #3

That's all I can think of

I don't think there's a way to dig deep enough & delete unwanted apps without rooting :(

Tapped from a Galaxy Nexus using Xparent ICS
