Power Button Stopped Working

The power button no longer works on my D2, is there any way I can turn it on still?

If you need to power the phone on pull the battery, make sure the charger is in a wall socket not a USB port, then plug it into the phone. Once the M Logo comes up put the battery in. The phone should boot.

I tried that but did not work. I'm gonna give it another shot after work.

Says you may have to restart it again and boot into recovery if it doesn't start up all the way.

I tried it 10+ times before it finally worked. Thank you for the tip! How would I go about setting a different button to turn the phone on/off?

Both of these apps should allow you to do so. If by chance you have Widget Locker it can as well.

You can use thing if you're in the mood to actually modify the phone coding: Awake screen using volume rocker - xda-developers

Nothing can be done. You need to take it to a repair shop.

Most devices will power on when connected to PC via usb
