Menu and Search buttons don't work...

So i've had this problem for a while but i'd like to fix it before I go back to school. The menu and search buttons on the bottom of the screen have stopped working. I knew the menu button had stopped working but i just realized that the search button died. I've cleaned the screen lots of times and still nothing happens... should i just send it to get fixed? I have the special edition R2-D2 Droid 2 if that changed anything...

It's a hardware failure. You should contact VZW.

Also, be aware that they don't fix phones, they just mail you a refurb. And chances are very, very good that you will get a refurb Droid 2, not an R2D2.



Edit: Moto WILL fix phones, if you pay for it out of pocket... But if you're making a warranty claim, they're just going to replace your unit with a new/refurb one.
