I have both of these apps and I was wondering which one of them saves your battery for a longer period of time. Also, does 3G being on, but having auto-syncing on affect the battery drastically?

Thanks :)

Never tried PoweMax. I had JD ultimate but didn't see that much of a difference. The stock battery saver is decent IMO though.

You need to have 3g on to sync...
the 3g radio on standby doesn't even use that much power as is.

The things that use a ton of data are things that keep polling the 3g radio that aren't actually needed, like stupid services such as weather that feel they need to update every 15 minutes, when every 2 hours is perfectly fine(and is also 8 times less power). The only useful thing I've seen those apps do is turn on the 3g radio at specific times forcing apps that don't place nice with the polling stuff to well... play nice. but those "features" can screw with things you need, so I tend to stay away from it altogether.
