Post Update Question

Hii I'm new and not so tech savvy so don't make fun of me. I have an eris; I installed some update yesterday - i hardly ever turn off my phone so it could have been ready to install for who knows how long - and now everything is different. Okay, I can tolerate change, thats fine. EXCEPT I can't get my big-fat-digital-clock-slash-weather-widget to be on my home page anymore. did they take that away with this new update? Now there is just a clock short cut that I would have to click every time I want to see a big clock/the date and theres no weather.
