Pocket App or setting

When I got my original Maxx there was an app or setting that recognized when your phone was in your pocket and it would put the phone is "sleep" mode. When ICS came out this app disappeared so now I'm back to butt dialing ................ Anyone know of an app that will replace the missing one? Maybe JB is going to have this in it.

I'm currently on the accidentally leaked version of JB and there isn't a sleep mode at all.

I believe the feature you're referring to was called "Pocket Sense".
You are correct, the phone could sense when it was placed in your pocket, and would go to sleep in like 5 seconds or so.
They removed the feature with the ICS update.
I miss it, and wonder why they removed it.

the lose of in pocket detection is one of the reasons i downgraded from ICS back to GBA. while ICS had a number of improvements under the hood the blur interface took a definitive hit. so much so i had to go back.

I really miss the pocket detection capability on ICS. There's an app called PocketSensor (https://play.google.com/store/apps/...vbS5waG9uZXBocmVhay5wb2NrZXRzZW5zb3JfZGVtbyJd) that is a free trial. $1.99 if you don't want to have to continue to reactivate the program when the trial expires.
