Please help T^T phone problem

I have an LG-MS695 android phone and i received a message that required to download to see. So of course i did but it said it was expired so the message deleted itself and now im stuck with a lock screen notification of a text message i cannot clear or see. what can i do??

Do you know the sender of this message, or was it just a number?
I assume you've tried a reboot already to clear the notification?
