Play store found a possible harmful app

For the first time ever on any Android I've owned playstore found a potentially harmful app and prompted me to remove which I clicked remove.

It was called restaurant finder

Playstore warned that it had potentially harmful advertising.

I don't recall ever installing this app and when I clicked uninstall there was no indication of the app being removed

When I checked playstore it listed the app as being found warned and deleted but only showed what time it found it

Did anyone else experience this last night around 834 pm est?

Hmmm not yet but I don't normally add any apps I've not used for years ...

Sounds like the new (newer) Play Store Protect feature kicked in and did its job.
