Why is this popular app not available on the market?

Right now out is exclusively being distributed by amazon. If you download the amazon app suite you can get the game there for 2.99

Thanks. I wasn't even didn't even realize amazon had the Droid app store. I did notice you had to change some security settings within the phone to download apps from outside the market, but I assume anything from amazon is safe.

No problem. Yeah, amazon is no less safe than the market. I have downloaded several apps from amazon and they are all good. It is probably a good idea to have some kind of virus detection just in case. I use Lookout and it scan every app that is downloaded or installed.

The nice thing about amazon is that everyday they offer a paid app for free. Some are nothing special but sometimes you can get some good ones.

From the amazon app store I was happy to see everything I had bought or got free from there on my previous device was waiting for me to easily reload to my new device. I was unsure when i switched phones how they were going to handle that... I have not paid for anything in the Android market so not sure how that works when going to a new device. I know I had to re-search for any free app i downloaded from them previously.

The market works the same way. If you paid for it, out keeps it listed under "my apps" so you can always re download again anytime. The market is linked to your gmail account so if you upgrade to a different phone, there it is.

however if you have a motorola Droid, plants vs. zombies will not play on your device. Anyone know where you can find the app that plays exclusively on moto droid?

There was a port of PvZ a while back. It's not bad. It can be found on getandroidstuff.com
