Pissed

I really wanted the the 2.1 update to include live wallpapers which apparently is not coming
IS ANYONE ELSE MAD ABOUT THIS:mad:
Not me... Seems a bit much to get worked up about since no one officially stated that it would be in 2.1 for the Droid. IIRC, you can get them if you really want them that bad.

I would have liked the option of having live wallpapers. Whether I would have actually used them is beside the point.

Why are you mad about this?

1) Live wallpapers are sure to take more resources than standard wallpapers.

2) What percentage of people can actually SEE their wallpaper and it isn't mostly covered up by icons and widgets?

They could scrap the idea of live wallpapers altogether and I couldn't care less.

I feel the same way about the 3D app drawer. I have shortcuts to all my commonly used apps on my home screens specifically so I rarely need to use the app drawer.
The only time I use the app drawer is...never.

Me too. I want the option to have everything, including a holographic screen that projects a 6"x9" image. It doesn't matter if I ever use a feature; I just want it. And I don't care what resources it uses and therefore robs from other applications. I don't care if support for the phone is complicated beyond belief because of different combinations of features running on different phones. I want what I want when I want it. I don't want Motorola to make any decisions about trade-offs based on overall consumer preferences; I just want what I want and I want Motorola and Verizon to let me have it. Free of charge of course.

Haha...perfect. Don't let that guy Where'sMyCoffe see you though. He doesn't want you to be have to customize the Droid. He wants EVERY feature NATIVE only.

This is my nominee for post of the week!

not at all.

i wouldn't find myself using the live wallpapers anyway, i like my background.

I have "2.1 Launcher" (thanks to RinTinTigger), but would like to see 5 homescreens still, though i only use 3. I hope they sort out the menu since I have the 2.1 menu, but during landscape, the buttons are off.

Overall, can't wait to get this update.

Don't you already get the 5 screens with the "2.1 Launcher" from RinTinTigger?

I don't think your sarcasm attack is warranted. Live wallpapers is already included in 2.1, it's not as if everyone is asking for something that wasn't already programmed in to the software. I was under the assumption that phones running the same version would have the same software, no?

It would be nice to have THE OPTION of live wallpapers which is already in 2.1. I play with the smudge on my screen while in class sometimes, live wallpapers could pass the time a little better, or if you're on the train home, taxi, etc.

Mob mentality is taking over this forum :icon_eek:

Same here. The app drawer collects dust for me :)

I wish I could get rid of it and make it a function of the menu or something.
