I really wanted the the 2.1 update to include live wallpapers which apparently is not coming
IS ANYONE ELSE MAD ABOUT THIS

not really...but I also dont like things that add no functionality and can actually steal cpu cycles for what is basically nothing but eye candy you will use the first time you open it and forget about it.

I must admit I'm not too concerned one way or the other about live wallpapers. So, no I'm not upset about it.

i wouldn't find myself using the live wallpapers anyway, i like my background.

I have "2.1 Launcher" (thanks to RinTinTigger), but would like to see 5 homescreens still, though i only use 3. I hope they sort out the menu since I have the 2.1 menu, but during landscape, the buttons are off.

Overall, can't wait to get this update.

Most every post I read about people installing 2.1 on their Droids included them quickly tiring of Live Wallpapers and turning them off. All they do is slow down the OS and drain your battery.

Yep, they are about as pointless as the 3d launcher and other 'flashy' things... nice at first but then pointless

Hey man, I just read an article earlier that said they took the 3D scroll thing out for the Droid.....it said that we'll still have the pull up drawer like in 2.0.1

I too can live without them but the launcher and homescreen situation is annoying. If they aren't included I'm sure there will be a new port in a few days, if that.

I'm running a 2.1 rom and I can use the live wallpapers. Dumped them after 10 minutes. Bogged everything down.
