Is there anyway to save a screen picture like the Iphone?

No the new Nexus coming out has it, its built into ICS and I'm sure u will be able to do it when the Razr gets it but as of now the only way to is to root it.

Also, if you read the description, the app does the same thing that the SDK does. It requires you download and install their application to your PC, and then connect your phone via USB. Motorola provides the drivers for you so you should be able to do this without paying $5 (at least I know I can do it with my Motorola Xoom).Without using a computer for this process, I guess the only alternative to root is wait for ICS.
