Photos not saved after shooting

I'm using droid razr and recently, i'm having this little prob....
when the memory usage in my library reaches a certain figure, the next time i take a photo and tries to view it, it wasn't there!!
i'm guessing maybe there're some settings limiting the total amount of memory to be allocated to pictures in my library..
cos after i deleted some old pictures of mine, my camera starts to works perfectly fine again...

btw, i still have tons of free memory in my phone....so its not because i'm running short of memory...
any view to this? or am i the only 1 having this problem???

When you say you lave "tons of free memory on my phone", the issue is whether you have enough of the data portion of memory available. The internal 16 GBSD Card (sdcard) is partitioned so that 8GB is set aside for user storage ("internal storage") - this is the area where photos/music/data is stored, 3GB for application storage (for the apps you download and the files that go along with them), & 5GB for the system (Android OS files and such).

Then you have the removable SD card (sdcard-xt) which has the full 16GB available to the user for storage (minus whatever is taken up by the file system and formatting). If you change the camera so that instead of saving to the internal SD Card, you tell it to save to the removable SD card, you will not only have greater storage available, but you will be able to remove the card and copy the data off with a card reader, if you need to do a "Factory reset", you will protect that data, and your problem should go away. Make sure to move the data that is already on the internal storage off to the removable sd card as well, so you don't forget it's there and lose it during a Factory reset should you need to.

Good luck!

well.
I have the same prob, BUT i'm already using the SDcard to save my pictures ... (so if the phone stops workin', i won't lose my pictures!)
i've installed usb host and busybox to try to use an pendrive in my phone, but was useless... i uninstalled then but the problem still here ...
in my case, that i'm already usin' the SDcard, what could be the problem (in the same time i did this thing above, i chandeg my 8gb to a new 16gb sdcard ... o thouth this might be the problem, once the new sdcard could be damaged, but i tested on other devices and worked well...)
can anyone help me ? if i get this to motorola to fix it, i'll be without a way to use my numer, once it's a microSIM... so i can't do this right now ...

i'm the same as lucianogarcia there...its already set to save photos to my removable SD card...which i checked still has another 12gb left in it..and its actually a class 10!!!
so now i'm really lost...and i'm thinking will rooting my phone help solve this irritating error??? or any other methods of solving ofcos..but i just dun have any more ideas =.=

solved my problem

well, the store where i bought my SDcard gave me a new one, and after that worked well ...
i am afraid that afte a while it stops workin the same way my old one ... but it's solved, at least for me...

I had this problem too earlier this week! i decided not to post on it tho... I thought i possibly deleted some crucial folder or something on my sdcard that would make the picture not be saved. (because i was trying to delete stuff i dont need and clear stuff up) But as i was looking around trying to figure something out, i just decided that it would be best if i factory data reset everything, phone/sdcard, all. And that has fixed the problem. Its a hassle--yes, but oh well..

Hope that helped, sorry

well for me...none of it solved my case zzzzzz i've already did the factory reset, and i tried to bulldoze the store that sold me my SD card...literally. Had dat fella to change another new SD card for me to test..yet still the same thing happened =.=

I have having this exact problem, I take a picture, the small thumbnail is displayed but the picture is not saved anywhere. I have tried reset and replaced the SC card but still fails.

Any solve this problem yet??
