Photos appeared on xbox

I'm not sure what happened but I was in my gallery looking at pictures the next thing I know the picture I was looking at was on my TV screen which was hooked up to my xbox can anybody explain this

Sounds like you shared your pictures through your Wi-Fi network at home tv, Xbox, phone

I do the same with my new smart tv from Samsung

So my question is how do I do it again

You must 1st have the media you're trying to view open and xbox on. There is an icon in top right, I think, on your phone that allows u to share the media you're viewing on the phone to the xbox. You'll notice the icon I'm referring to
