Phone won't vibrate for text messages, help?

I'm new to my Droid X and I can't seem to figure out how to put my text message ringer on vibrate, I click vibrate all and it vibrates my phone call ringer and silences my texts.
Any suggestions?

my text message vibrate quit working last night also. I haven't installed anything new or made any updates yesterday, although some programs are set to auto update but I'm not aware of any that happened. I was using Chomp so i uninstalled it to use the default program but still no vibrate. It vibrates fine for calls but just for any texts? Any ideas?

inside the messaging app on the thread screen open settings and find the feature in there. I have a D1 and thats how i did it.
