Phone wont turn on

I have the Motorola Droid 1. I installed a new rom and everything seemed to work fine. But now the phone just blinks with the motorola sign in the middle. I removed the battery reinstalled still nothing. I connected to the computer and still nothing. I did do a nandroid backup before but I cant get to the screen to reload the nandroid backup. Any suggestions?

If you hold down x key while you power the phone up it won't boot into recovery?
