Phone with best Camera Function?

I enjoy taking videos at grandson's bball games with my Droid 1. However, both the touchscreen button and the mechanical button seem to malfuncton at critical times, either ignoring my thumb/finger pressure to start or stop the video, or sticking (the mechanical one). Also, the mechanical button seems to have a significant delay built in. Of all the Smartphones in Verizon's stable, which has the best FUNCTIONING camera? Opinions, please.
