I just flashed fission 2.6.1 and after my phone rebooted it made a weird beeping noise. This happens every time I reboot my phone now and I can't figure out how to turn it off.

It could be the self destruct sequence arming and then disarming itself.

To be honest I have no clue what it could be, your post reminds me of the beep sound that a computer makes when it starts up though. does it sound similar to that?

I shouldn't have said a beeping noise, its more of a ringtone. It shows up at the lock screen and it plays when the phone would say DROID on a stock rom. I think its because I'm using a zedge ringtone (doesn't show up in system ringtones) and it has something to do with sd card notifications but I can't find a setting for that anywhere.

What Rom are you on? It should be the SD card notification under the sounds settings menu.

Interesting. I'm on liberty and it doesn't have that option either but it doesn't make any noise at start up. You might want to check in the fission section or maybe another fission user can be of more assistance.

Root, go under system and check if there is a dot ogg file with the bootanimation file. Of there is, delete it or change the extension. That should do it
