Phone going to lock screen way too fast??

I may just not know what I changed in a default setting somewhere, but recently I have been struggling with the Droid going back to the lock screen, while on a call and every time I finish a call or receive another call while on a call, I have to use the pattern lock to get to the active screen. . .I have had the Droid since it first came out and swear that this only started happening recently.

Is there a setting somewhere that I set inadvertently? Any help is appreciated.

Also give Screebl a try. It's a more advanced display manager and works REALLY well.

Where in screebl do you fix this?

Every single time I get done with a call the phone locks up and to end the call I have to unlock the phone. That is freaking ridiculous. Screebl isnt fixing this; unless I dont have the settings right.....

I've had the same issue for a while, its not something that is fixed by screebl. It intermittently comes and goes, and it's highly irritating.

I hope someone figures out the reason soon.

I have had the problem where if I am on a call go to the main menu, the phone will shut off the screen right away. If I shake the phone, the screen lights up but then immediately shuts off again even if I am trying to push buttons. I can't end the call or do anything until the caller on the other side ends the call. I don't have a lock pattern on my phone (fyi).

I am very glad to find that I am not the only one struggling with this issue. RUBrown, you hit on it, it appears to be an intermittent situation. . . but still something should be able to adjust it/correct it. I am using a lock pattern, but using that (or not - Thx, BigMcGuire) shouldn't affect it. Wonder where else there is to turn?

I too have noticed it. I thought I was going crazy. I looked for several changes, but couldnt find anything. It really does appear to be intermittent. Sometimes it even goes off when I am in the middle of doing the pattern lock. Now that is sad. hehe

I thought something was wrong with my phone until i remembered. When on a call your phone focus's on the accelerometer so whenever you move their phone from your ear it will know and turn on. when you shake it and press the wake up button your just turning it on sleep again lmao. Move the phone and press the home button. and woot there it is.
