phone charge

I have a rooted droid and my phone is having problems with the charge. the fone will show it had a full charge and then die when I unplug it... the charge will sometimes jump from 5% to like 30% instantly. most times the phone will not charge past 70%... has anyone else had this issue or know how to help? thanks!

It kind of sounds like a bad battery _maybe_. But I am probably not the best person to reply. Why? Because I use two OEM batteries and a battery only charger and only plug my phone in when I need to hack it or absolutely have to charge it.
