Perpetual sync icon

So for some reason I constantly have the sync icon on my status bar. This just started yesterday. The arrows beside the 3G aren't flashing though so it doesn't appear there's any kind of data transfer going on. Any ideas?

I have had this happen twice after flashing new themes and the only thing that made it go away was a factory data reset.
