OnePlus is now rolling out OxygenOS 2.2.0 to the OnePlus X. This new update comes with a few significant changes. Some of the changes include a manual mode for the camera app, an option in the camera app to save photos and videos to sdcard, USSD bug fix, dual sim preferences were added back to system settings, an upgrade to the OTA app is included, all security patches are included, and other general bug fixes and optimizations are present.

The addition of manual mode to the camera means you will be able to better control the outcome of the photos you take. Having options like white balance, iso, and more should help you come up with some pretty big photos. Being able to store those photos on your sdcard is certainly an added bonus as well.

This update is currently rolling out, but OnePlus is asking users to be patient if they do not see the update right away.
